Michael Terrien received the Tsunami Foundation’s Servant Leader Award in July 2004.
Play for Peace — South Africa, invited to participate in The Third World Conference on Racism, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance in Durban, South Africa, organized by the United Nations Human Rights Commission and South Africa's Non-Government Organization Coalition (www.racism.org). More that 7,000 NGOs in attendance.
Peacemaker of the Year Award, awarded to Sarah Shatz for her work as Lead Representative for Play for Peace Guatemala, 2000.
Play for Peace — South Africa presented at a youth camp featuring Nobel Peace Prize laureate Rigoberta Menchu Tum of Guatemala in Cape Town August 1999.
Recognition as a "Gift to Humanity" at the Parliament of World Religions in Cape Town in December, 1999.
