About Middle East

The Middle East is a politically, culturally and religiously sensitive region. Historically, it is the geographic origin of three of the worlds major religions: Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

Over the years, frequent wars and armed uprisings have resulted over boundary disputes involving the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem. Extensive violence has destroyed communities and deeply affects the children on all sides of the conflict.
