Clinton, Illinois.
With the support of Play for Peace - Chicago, Illinois State University and the Coalition for Nonviolent Communities, Play for Peace - Illinois is gaining strength in the Central region of Illinois.
News
In February of 2007, Clinton High School students participated in training conducted by Play for Peace - Chicago. Ongoing interaction with the Chicago staff has significantly helped Play for Peace - Illinois learn how best to design team building activities, work with student facilitators and receive support from their university partner as well as assisted them in becoming more familiar with Play for Peace games.
During 2007, Play for Peace also participated in Clinton's annual May Days celebration and conducted community presentations with the Lions Club and faculty at the elementary schools.
Since of February 2008, Play for Peace - Illinois has had a full-time employee and one intern from Illinois State University. Their work, in addition to the efforts of six members of the Coalition for Nonviolent Communities, has resulted in news of Play for Peace spreading beyond Clinton, Illinois.
