“Play for Peace and I have connected, a natural affinity. Since my childhood, I’ve resisted the competitiveness that seems to lead the world we live in. Early in my career as a facilitator I’ve realised the importance, the richness and the great potential of an education based on cooperation. With Play for Peace, I’ve found a community who shares my ideal for peace and cooperation!”
With over 20 year experience in facilitation, Elisabeth began her career at the age of 17 as a facilitator in a youth centre. The large number of children she worked with led her to quickly establish a more cooperative approach. Elizabeth has since graduated as a secondary school teacher and holds a Masters’ Degree in intercultural education focused on religious teaching. She has learned more about experiential education through her collaboration with Play for Peace and during a volunteer mission in Guatemala, she integrated the Play for Peace methodology within juvenile delinquency prevention programs as well as in collaboration with local women groups experimenting in civic engagement.
