Play for Peace Training Workshop Report
Play for Peace Certified Trainers train adults (21+ yrs.) to become Play for Peace Mentors and youth (approx. 15-25 yrs.) to become Play for Peace Youth Facilitators. To do so, they lead Level 1 & 2 Training with interested adults and youth. The Youth Facilitators and their Mentors then form Play for Peace Clubs wherever they are in the world, often as a program within a partner organization, or Partner for Peace.
Play for Peace Training follows this sequence; a presentation of Play for Peace (as needed), Level 1-The Joy of Play and Level 2-Facilitation Skills. Level 3-Community Action Skills, if possible, is best offered 6 months to a year after the new Play for Peace Club has initiated activities. Level 4-Advanced Skills and Knowledge, will be offered on an on-going basis, the curriculum of which will grow and expand as our community grows.
We are asking all Play for Peace Trainers to send us reports of the Training Workshops so that compile information about our new members but also our training process.
