This April, aspiring peace builders in Nepal will have the chance to learn about Play for Peace and the skills

needed to bring peace to their communities through the power of play. Archana Magar, Play for Peace’s southeast Asia regional coordinator and coordinator for training and events, is visiting the country this April and will offer Play for Peace workshops and trainings to organizations, schools, universities, and other institutions and community groups. An experienced trainer, Archana has been working with Play for Peace as a volunteer, mentor, coach, and experiential educator in southeast Asia.

At Play for Peace, we believe a key to igniting the process that builds peaceful communities is both powerful and profoundly simple—the joy of play! Archana’s workshops and trainings* are based around the notion that:

When we play—we re-create
When we play—become our true selves
When we play—we open up to learning
When we play—people discover and connect with each other

Ranging from two to six hours long, the sessions will focus on how laughter and compassion can bring about peace, group facilitation, cooperative activities, how to connect with our global community of experiential educators, and how to create a Play for Peace club in your school/community.
