Doors open — check-in begins
Arrive early to grab your name tag, pick up your SWAG, and connect with other participants. Find us on Township Road as part of Logan Township Appreciation Day — the energy is already going when you get here.
12:45 PM — Welcome & Play for Peace intro
Host Bill Berault opens the event with a brief introduction to Play for Peace® and what today's activities are all about.
1:00 PM — Pickleball parade begins
Paddles up. The pickleball parade gets going, a fun, festive format open to all ages and all skill levels. Never played? Perfect. You'll pick it up fast and laugh the whole time.
1:30 PM — Play for Peace cooperative activities
Step off the court and into a circle. Play for Peace® cooperative activities bring the whole group together.
1:50 PM — Closing circle
A short closing moment together, a story from Play for Peace®'s global programs, a celebration of the New Jersey team's impact, and one final cooperative activity to close the day.
2:00 PM — Event closes
Thank you for being here. Safe travels home and thank you for being part of the New Jersey community walk for peace. Logan Township showed up for something bigger than itself today.
There will also be a Play for Peace presentation and demonstration at the pickleball courts. Play for Peace is a non profit organization started by a very dear friend who recently passed. He was all of this to me: Teacher, Mentor, Coach, and Roommate.
Come join me for an intro and workshop stressing the essence of play along with peace.
