About the Community Walk for Peace
Why Join?
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, communities across the world will come together for the Play for Peace® Community Walk for Peace, a nationwide day of walking, cooperative play, and shared purpose.
Every event is locally hosted, free to join, and open to everyone. Whether you walk a 5K, join a pickleball day, or take a stroll with your neighborhood. Your participation connects you to a movement that reaches children on the other side of the world.
There is no entry fee, however donations are welcome! Just show up, move together, and be part of something larger than your own city.
Crossing Lines
Play for Peace® uses structured cooperative play to bring children from opposing communities together — in conflict zones across 22 countries. Your walk funds the sessions, the facilitators, and the programs that make those moments possible.
Global Reach
Every dollar raised on September 19 goes directly to support Play for Peace® programs worldwide. Cities within US and across the globe walking on the same day creates a collective force that funds real, lasting peacebuilding work across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas and beyond.
Play Works
Cooperative play between children in conflict is one of the most evidence-backed tools for building empathy, trust, and long-term community peace. Your donation keeps those programs running and children healing from trauma.
