Stand Behind

A Brave Kid.

Bravery is the integrity of a choice. A calm body. A clear mind. A grounded decision made in alignment with what matters. Play for Peace® builds that capacity in children, in countries where fear has shaped the world they are growing up in.

Honoring Craig’s Life and Legacy

Craig’s joy, wisdom, and compassion live on in every circle of play around the world.

You may honor him by supporting the work he devoted his life to.

You may also visit our Memorial Page to reflect on his contributions and legacy.

We have been teaching kids the wrong definition of brave.

We want to offer a different one.

Bravery is the integrity of a choice. It is what becomes possible when a child can calm her body, see clearly, and choose from a grounded place. That choice might be reaching across a line her family drew. It might be stepping back. It might be speaking up or being quiet.

What makes it brave is the integrity.

WHY VOLUNTEER

Three inner moves.

One brave kid.

Peace is not something you teach a child. It is what a child chooses when their body is calm, and their mind is clear. Play for Peace builds that capacity, step by step.

Regulation — A Calm Body

A nervous system that has come back from alarm. When the body settles, a child can feel, think, and choose. Cooperative play is how we get there.

Discernment — A Clear Mind

The capacity to see what is actually in front of you. To know how you want to respond not from fear, not from habit, but from honest seeing.

Connection — An Aligned Choice

Acting in a way that honors yourself, others, and the wider world, when and how it is right to do so. Including choosing not to. Both are brave.

THE WORK

What your gift does.

Play for Peace® trains facilitators and runs cooperative play programs in 22 countries where children are growing up in the shadow of conflict, displacement, and division.

Not lectures. Not protocols. Games. Carefully designed cooperative activities where nobody loses, nobody is left out, and every single person is treated as an equal.

What happens in those circles is not small. A child whose body has learned to scan constantly for danger starts to breathe. Young people who were told to fear each other look up and see someone they want to know. Facilitators, over months of training, become communities of practice that ripple outward into families and neighborhoods.

Your gift funds the facilitator training, the field programs, and the infrastructure that makes this work possible.
