Community Spotlight: Lauren Rubino

"As a parent I want to raise my children to have compassion and empathy for everyone—regardless of religion, race, or any other trait." - Lauren Rubino

Lauren Rubino is currently appointed as the Communications Project Manager at Play for Peace. A mother of two, she understands how playing with others enriches a child’s life. Lauren graduated with a journalism degree and started her career in book publishing (Random House and Simon & Schuster). She then went on to work at several organizations managing content and communications platforms. Through her position at PFP, she aspires to create cohesive content across all channels to engage more people with the organization and create awareness of the PFP activities trainers, mentors, and volunteers. She believes that the trainers and mentors are the foundation of PFP. She commends the effort of the trainers who strive each day to put a smile on a child’s face. The work done by PFP trainers for marginalized communities across the globe inspires her. Lauren believes that PFP’s focus on youth to create a friendly and fearless environment, where every child can develop into an aspirational individual is an incredibly important piece of PFP.
