Announcing the Play for Peace Support Teams!

“Support teams are going to be a crucial part of Play for Peace, that will help our community to self-sustain their program development and marketing locally.” - Imroz Shah, Play for Peace Global Operations Manager

To support our Global Learning Community of trainers, mentors, and clubs, Play for Peace developed a team of volunteers to support our GLC. As our community is growing and often needs help with different expertise and resources, we are offering them a new opportunity to access a team of volunteers with various expertise that will be available for all regions. The support teams of volunteers with writing, PR, translation, grant writing, graphic design, photography, and blogging skills will help our community with a variety of projects.

As of now, seven volunteers will be assigned to each region. The volunteers will work with our community members to help them with PR and media relations, designing the flyers and event materials, translating material into local languages, writing grants and blogs, and collecting programing data. Play for Peace Global Operations Manager Imroz Shah officially launched our Support Team program on May 15, 2016.

During the launch week, we will introduce our support teams and connect our community members with their assigned volunteers. The support teams are part of the larger support program for our Play for Peace Clubs. Play for Peace volunteers have been a tremendous help to us. Our support team volunteers will get to apply their professional skills to help each region promote positive relationships among the people of societies in conflict. They will help us build self-sustaining learning communities in which all of our regions work interdependently to make a more peaceful world.
