Bike for Peace 2017 – from China to Myanmar

Play for Peace board directors Steve Proudman and Mark Havens have once again embarked on a biking journey to bring peace to themselves and the world. Last year they biked through northern Vietnam and Laos. This year they have started another amazing journey, biking over 1,000 km from China to Myanmar while raising funds for Play for Peace. The two started their biking journey in mid-January, traveling from Lijiang - a city at Southwest China, home to the Naxi people and at least four other Chinese minority ethnic groups, to Shangri-La where the first national park in China situates, then elevated over 8000 ft toward the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain which was previously featured in one famous American reality competition show. They crossed the Yangtze River, the third longest river in the world, and reached their final destination on January 31 in Myanmar, where they will visit the local PFP clubs. You may support their fundraising efforts at BIKE FOR PEACE via this link. You may also make a donation within the U.S. by texting the word BIKING to 41444. Let’s keep the big wheels turning and bring peace and joy to more all across the world. [gallery ids="8361,8362,8363,8364,8365,8366,8367,8368,8369"]
