It's wonderful to hear about the efforts and dedication of Our Mentor, Obed NIJIMBERE, who shared with us a healing play story from Burundi recently. Since Play for Peace dedicated a location for Practice Peace and other session in Burundi, the associations asked facilitators to conduct a Healing Play session on September 29, 2023

Rural communities are highly vulnerable to climate change. Colorado State University lists a few reasons behind this, one of which is rural residents’ lower income rates. This leaves them with fewer resources to pay for the consequences of climate change, such as flash flooding.
This mini bite-sized update comes from the Healing Play club in Burundi where 150 participants and 6 youth leaders create lasting change in their local communities.

Now that we’re one week into Level Up: Race for Humanity, we want to introduce some of the amazing mentors from our Play for Peace clubs who are taking part in this month-long event. We’ll be following their journeys over the next few weeks, to share how they are leveling up in their communities.
With Coronavirus lockdowns expanding globally, billions of people in Africa are faced with unprecedented restrictions and turmoil. Despite all of this, our clubs there are working hard to support their communities, providing access to food, basic necessities, and emotional support.
