Community Spotlight: Kadi McDonald

I like to think that the world is much more than we give it credit for. Whenever I find myself discouraged by what I find in the news, I just take a moment to read about what our volunteers are doing. And I feel much more confident that we will get there someday.”

Kadi is the newly-appointed blog coordinator for Play for Peace who is determined to bring great content to the PFP supporters. She aims to create an interactive platform to showcase the dedicated work done by the volunteers and trainers of PFP. The tireless work of PFP’s multi-linguistic trainers inspires her. Kadi grew up in a small town in Ohio. A journalism and politics student, she volunteered with a youth leadership group and also rowed on the Women's Crew team during her college years. Her career path took her through several large corporations (Nationwide Insurance, Macy's, and Victoria's Secret) where she wrote and helped create strategies for better communication. After several years in the corporate world, she has branched off to become her boss and writes for many different organizations, many of which benefit her community. She is an animal lover who loves the great outdoors! When asked about how PFP resonates with her, Kadi says “PFP creates a place and a community that gives children hope for our future. And I'm thrilled to be a part of that.”
