Connecting the Global Unity Games and Our World Peace Day Celebrations

This will be the first time we bring two Play for Peace traditions together for one global celebration of community, compassion and peace!

It's World Peace Day Wednesday, and this week, we would like to share more about our plans to participate in the next round of the Compassion Games, which will lead up to our celebration of World Peace Day. This will be the first time we bring two Play for Peace traditions together for one global celebration of community, compassion and peace! We are getting ready for a new round of the Compassion Games. The Global Unity Games: Tomorrow Together begin on September 11, a national day of service in the United States, and continue through September 21, World Peace Day. We would love to have our Play for Peace Clubs and members join us for the Global Unity Games. The Global Unity Games honor a legacy of compassion by bringing people around the world together to strive toward a better tomorrow through collective acts of service and kindness. This time, since the Global Unity Games will end on World Peace Day, we believe this presents the chance to connect two wonderful Play for Peace global traditions. We invite you to join us for eleven daily missions of the Global Unity Games, which could finish with World Peace Day Celebrations in our Play for Peace Clubs. Last year, 10 Play for Peace Clubs hosted World Peace Day Celebrations in six different countries. We really hope to expand our World Peace Day Celebrations this year. Again this year, Play for Peace will be joining with thousands of people around the world to celebrate World Peace Day. Our partners for these special celebrations are Compassion Games International and Peace One Day. We'll be sharing more about these global organizations, and the campaigns themselves, as we approach September! Our Support for Clubs That Participate We are offering an incentive for Play for Peace Clubs that participate in the Global Unity Games. We will provide $100 to help cover the costs of activities during the Global Unity Games, for any registered Global Learning Community member (a trainer, mentor or Club) who participates daily in the Global Unity Games, and who reports regularly on their activities. Clubs could use that $100 to help provide food and beverages or transportation for their World Peace Day Celebration, after participating in Global Unity Games activities from September 11 through September 21. We hope to see more Play for Peace Clubs than ever participate in the upcoming Global Unity Games, and we hope to see more Clubs hosting World Peace Day Celebrations, too. Whether or not you're a part of one of our 56 Play for Peace Clubs, everyone is invited to join us in these special celebrations of compassion and peace. Our Compassion Games Coordinator, Amanda Cook, will help Play for Peace Clubs and other interested members confirm their participation in the Global Unity Games: Tomorrow Together. You can contact Amanda at amanda@playforpeace.org. We welcome your participation in two great Play for Peace traditions! CG-Logo-Horizontal-Starry-Small-300x88[1]   logo[5]
