"Craig has come out a few times over the past few years, and it’s always a special time when he does. The youth facilitators are super excited to have the co-founder come and share his experience and wisdom. They pick his brain and try and get his knowledge and experience out. He challenges the youth facilitators to adapt games, make new games, and to think more critically about what they are doing." - Loren Rubin, Play for Peace Trainer in Los Angeles, CA
Today, we are taking a moment to pause and wish our co-founder, Craig Dobkin, a very Happy Birthday! As many of you know, Craig co-founded Play for Peace with Michael Terrien in the 1990s. People often know Craig by reputation as an outstanding practitioner in the field of experiential education, who can create an amazing atmosphere of fun, playful, and insightful learning. He has always had a tremendous amount of passion and vision for Play for Peace, and he tends to inspire everyone with whom he works. In the words of Loren Rubin, one of our Play for Peace Trainers in Los Angeles, CA: "Craig has come out a few times over the past few years, and it’s always a special time when he does. The YFs are super excited to have the founder come and share his experience and wisdom. They pick his brain and try and get his knowledge and experience out. He challenges the YFs to adapt games, make new games, and think more critically about what they are doing."
We are all so grateful to Craig for helping to create Play for Peace, and for the wisdom with which he has helped share Play for Peace around the world. We all benefit from the laughter, compassion, and peace he continues to share with all of us. With love from a grateful community, we say Happy Birthday, Craig!
