We’d love for you all to help us welcome another new coordinator, Tham Thi Le who will be leading our Southeast Asia region!
Tham first learned about Play for Peace, back in 2019, when she attended a Facilitator training led by past Regional Coordinator, Rita Nguyen. Soon after falling in love with the PFP method, Tham became a volunteer at the Quy Nhon Club and later was later asked to step up as a mentor of the club in 2020.
A quote from Tham; “I have a chance to connect Vietnamese charitable groups with the other ones overseas. We may learn a lot from abroad and introduce Vietnamese cultures and our country to foreign friends. Community service is not easy work, but with enthusiasm and humanity, I hope we can make the world better and better.”
Tham has been working as an English Teacher for the last three years, working with diverse students from varying grades as well as teaching communication to adults. Inspired by a past teacher’s unconventional techniques, Tham shares, “I strive to bring the same passion for innovative ways to learn to my classroom.”
While she's not teaching or planning for classes you can find Tham out traveling or listening to her favorite podcasts, she shares, “It’s a way for me to unwind and express my inner feelings.”
We're thrilled to have PFP community member, Tham join us in the PFP Global Team! You can reach out to Tham for any Southeast Asia program inquiries with her new email, tham@playforpeace.org. She will be the lead liaison between the Global team and local mentors and facilitators for our Southeast Asia regional clubs.
