On Saturday, September 21, we celebrated World Peace Day with the seventh annual Play for Peace Fall 5K Run/Walk. Despite the rainy forecast, the successful evening drew 300 attendees and raised more than $41,000 to support our peace building efforts around the world.

While Costa Rica is famous for its beautiful beaches and nature, it is not without conflict. Many flee there from Nicaragua only to face racism, exploitation, and more. One of these areas is La Carpio, where Play for Peace recently opened a club and is working hard to unite the community.

On October 1, the Khula Aasman Club in Mumbai partnered with Doctors For You to participate in a Walk for Peace to celebrate World Peace Day. 107 inspiring young people joined the walk.
