We are always excited when Play for Peace spreads to new communities and new countries where people can greatly benefit from our peace building efforts. Just this past weekend, we hosted a training in El Salvador that was so successful that we are starting the country's first club.
While Play for Peace was introduced in Kenya in 2013, it wasn't until recently that a club was formed. Thanks to some successful training visits and many passionate community members, we are excited to welcome Play for Peace Kenya!
Serious conflicts have arisen from the continuous battle for peace and freedom in Afghanistan. In the midst of these conflicts, Shafi Karimi, a Play for Peace trainer there, has introduced Play for Peace methods and goals in order to create positive change in his community.
For several years, Play for Peace Mexico mentor Francisco Hueyatl León has been leading Play for Peace's club in Mexico with love and dedication. Now he is using his expertise in graphic design to create a more peaceful world.
This past September 17 marked an important milestone in the history of Play for Peace: the 20th year of the organization. In honor of this special milestone, Play for Peace Mexico joined the party to celebrate the past two decades, as well as all that's to come.
