The Hennessy family is a very special one. It is apparent how caring and dedicated Lisa and Mike are from reading their son Aidan's letter below as he thanks the donors that supported his fundraising efforts. Lisa, Mike and Aidan - we can't thank you enough for being such an important part of the Play for Peace Community. Come join us and the Hennessy family next Tuesday for our Feast for Peace!Thank you for supporting me and Play for Peace kids! This is my second year raising money for Play for Peace. I was so excited to reach my $10,000 goal this year! I wanted to be Team Captain this year. I named our team Peace Walkers. My Mom said we are Tiny Peace Walkers—small but mighty. I was able to walk with my family and some of my best buds that I’ve known since pre-K, friends from my neighborhood, friends from Wayne Elementary where I go to school, and my Cub Scout Den. With the help of my Mom’s company, Avalon, and my Dad’s company, Integrity Sourcing, our Peace Walkers team was able to raise $15,000! This money will bring so many hopes and dreams to kids in need. If you came to the Walk for Peace with me, thank you for supporting me. I hope you enjoyed the Walk as much as I did. If you didn’t come to our Walk for Peace, please join us next year. It is so much fun. For everyone that donated money to me, thank you for supporting me. The money will help over 2,000 children in Play for Peace Clubs around the world and also help open new clubs. I want to visit my friend Sam in Guatemala one day, and other Play for Peace kids around the world. I also want to thank everyone at Avalon who helped me reach my goal this year and volunteered for the World Peace Day Celebration. I was able to go to my Mom’s work this year to accept our award from Play for Peace. That is Mr. John who travels around the world to help Play for Peace kids. My Mom said that many Avalon clients and employees and partners all helped me reach my goal. Thank you for supporting me! I also want to thank the companies that sponsored me like Great American Insurance Company, BMS, Western Overseas, BCB, Mallory International, and mom’s friends from Seko who came to walk with me. They all gave me a lot of money to reach my goal. So did my Dad’s company, Integrity Sourcing, and his friends Mr. Nick and Mr. Andy from Fine Line Marketing. I especially want to thank my family—Mom, Dad, my Grandparents, my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. They came out to walk with me, volunteered, and donated money to help me reach my goal. I love celebrating World Peace Day and raising money for Play for Peace kids in need. All this money is going to go to a very good cause.
