Wherever you are in the world, there are many ways to help Play for Peace celebrate World Peace Day.
We are now less than two months away from World Peace Day, which is celebrated internationally on September 21. We hope to see more Play for Peace Clubs hosting World Peace Day celebrations around the world during September and early October. We are also preparing for our Chicago area celebration, the World Peace Day Run/Walk in Bartlett, IL on Saturday, September 24. Wherever you are in the world, there are many ways to help Play for Peace celebrate World Peace Day. Today, we're providing some details to help our Clubs organize their own World Peace Day Celebrations. Tomorrow, we'll provide more information about how to get involved with the World Peace Day Fall Run/Walk in the Chicago, IL, area.
Host a World Peace Day Celebration If you’re part of one of our Play for Peace Clubs, we have already sent you information about participating in the next round of the Compassion Games, which leads up to World Peace Day. The Global Unity Games: Tomorrow Together will take place from Sunday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 21. That means that in the days leading up to World Peace Day, members of Play for Peace Clubs can participate in acts of compassion through the Global Unity Games, and then could finish with a World Peace Day Celebration. Last year our clubs hosted parties, played cooperative games, performed acts of service, and held walks for peace in their local communities, all to celebrate World Peace Day. For suggestions about activities your Club could host, we have created a handy guide you can use. We’re providing incentives for Clubs who wish to participate in both the Global Unity Games and host a World Peace Day Celebration.
