Welcome, Sri Krishnan!

In March, the Play for Peace team welcomed Sri Krishnan as an ex-officio board member. As a Kellogg Business School MBA candidate, he is part of the Kellogg Board Fellows program, which aims to match MBA students with nonprofit organizations in the greater-Chicago area. Sri discovered Play for Peace through the program and was immediately intrigued by the work we do across the world. He was quickly able to realize the parallels in his core values and beliefs and those of Play for Peace. Sri was born and raised in Malaysia. He moved to the U.S. to pursue his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, where he studied mechanical engineering. After graduation, he worked with Deloitte Consulting for 3 years and then moved to Brazil in the summer of 2016 to work for a friend's startup (he was in Rio for the summer Olympics!). He began his MBA program in the Fall of 2016 and will finish up his first year at Kellogg in the coming months. While he's only had brief exposure to PFP, Sri says he is very inspired by the dedication and engagement of all the board members and employees of PFP. "They definitely put their heart and soul into PFP and I'm deeply motivated to be part of this great family with them." Because Sri has lived and worked in different countries, he knows the importance of tolerance and breaking down barriers in a global setting. "I truly believe that the world would be better off if people were more understanding of each other, and I believe PFP's leadership and engagement in this space is essential in this day and age."   We look forward to learning from and working with you, Sri!
