It's World Peace Day Wednesday, and today we're unveiling our new promotional video for the World Peace Day Fall Run/Walk in Bartlett, IL. As you may know, this is Play for Peace's largest fundraising event, and it's coming up on Saturday, September 24, at the Bartlett Nature Center in Bartlett, IL. We'd like to share our new promotional video with you for the Run/Walk. We think it captures the family-friendly fun that is always present at our annual Chicagoland World Peace Day Celebration. The video was created by Laura Vazquez, one of our communications volunteers who also writes blog posts about two of our Guatemala Play for Peace Clubs. Thank you, Laura, for your work on this video!
We have two options for participation this year: participants can run the 5k course or walk on the family-friendly 1k nature walk course. Registration is now open on Crowdrise, and it is very easy to sign up! If you're in the Chicagoland area, we hope you'll plan to participate in person...and invite your friends, family, and coworkers to join you! If you're not in the Chicago area and would like to participate, you can always sign up as a "Virtual Walker" and either join one of our existing teams or start a fundraising effort of your own. It all helps us bring Play for Peace to communities in the U.S. and around the world! We hope you'll join us on September 24, either virtually or in person!
