Swati Bhatt is an experiential educator and documentary filmmaker based in Pune, India, and one of the longest-serving members of the Play for Peace community. She led the pilot that brought Play for Peace to India in 2000, served as India Site Representative from 2003 to 2008, and co-founded PLAY (Peace Leadership And Young people) to train youth, children, and organizations across the country. She has worked with Arab and Jewish communities in Israel and led workshops in Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. Since 2023 she has co-led, with Agyatmitra, a multi-year train-the-trainer partnership with Jesuit Refugee Service in Afghanistan, equipping local facilitators in Kabul and Herat who now reach thousands of children and youth in displacement camps. Swati holds a Master's in Communication Media for Children from SNDT Women's University and directed "Khel se Mel," a film documenting Play for Peace in marginalized communities.
