The local organization hosting the workshop was the Association Puerta de Esperanza. They work with children and young people working and living in the largest market in Guatemala City called La Terminal. The Association began working with people from the nearby garbage dump and little by little they grew. Within the Association, there are various programs, one of which is supporting adolescents not in school who have informal jobs. The youth come to the Association to continue their studies and have better opportunities in life.
