THE COURSE
We have four ways to plug into the movement right now. Each role is a real contribution to the lives of children and communities navigating conflict, not just a line on a resume.
The course covers the Play for Peace history, mission, and methodology, experiential education for peacebuilding, and how to design and lead Play for Peace trainings. You will practice facilitation and debriefing, giving feedback, mentoring new facilitators, and adapting the curriculum to the needs of your community.
The course is taught live online by Sarah Gough, MSW, Executive Director of Play for Peace, who has led trainer certification courses alongside our global trainer community since 2012. The next cohort begins in September 2026 with six live sessions of 90 minutes each, held every other week, plus short practice assignments between sessions. Certification is completed with a final facilitation project reviewed by Play for Peace.
Tuition for the Certified Trainer Course is $2,500 USD, in line with comparable train-the-trainer certifications in experiential education.
Because we believe skilled peacebuilders exist in every community and economy, we offer pay-as-you-can pricing. Please do not let cost stop you from applying. When you apply, you will simply tell us what you are able to contribute.

Play for Peace activities are created in English but play belongs to every child, in every language, on every continent. As a Translator, you are the bridge. You take our cooperative play activities, facilitator guides, and program materials and make them truly accessible to the communities in your country and region. You're not just converting words, you're carrying an entire philosophy of laughter, compassion, and connection into your mother tongue and onto your soil.
The stories coming out of Play for Peace, from refugee camps to post-conflict communities, deserve to be heard. As a Social Media Promoter, you amplify those stories. You create content that stops the scroll, build engagement across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, promote events and campaigns, and help grow our global community online. This is not passive sharing, it's active, creative advocacy for children who need the world to know their stories matter.
You have a skill. We have a mission. Maybe they belong together in a way we haven't imagined yet. A documentary series on youth peacebuilders. A fundraising campaign. A research project. A visual identity refresh. A podcast. A community event. If your idea aligns with what Play for Peace stands for, cooperation, inclusion, compassion, and fun, we want to hear it. Submit your vision and we'll work with you to bring it to life. The most unexpected ideas often create the deepest impact.
Play for Peace has a curriculum of hundreds of activities built around cooperative play, social-emotional learning, and peacebuilding. Now we're growing it and we want you involved. Work directly alongside our certified trainers and program team to co-write, design, and develop new play-based activities, facilitator guides, and program materials. This is a collaborative, hands-on role for students in education, psychology, social work, or peace studies and for educators and youth practitioners who want to create something that will genuinely transform lives.
