The last month has been full of lovely surprises for our Clubs as many received their Play for Peace Educational Toolkits. Thanks to the Astellas Company, Board Chair John Guarrine, and volunteers Dave and Harriet Freedman, the kits were placed in Play for Peace-branded backpacks and shipped across the world. Clubs who filled out at least Four Practice Peace Session reports were eligible to receive the backpacks. The Play for Peace Educational Toolkits are made for our inspirational youth leaders in the field. While building friendships across divides of cultures, races, and religions, they will use the backpacks to facilitate activities that use cooperation to develop compassion and understanding.
The backpacks are filled with handmade kits so that the youth can replenish and replicate the materials themselves as needed.
