Community Spotlight: Trainer Chad from the Philippines

“Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much” – Hellen Keller

This is one of Chad's favorite quotes he shared with us during the Play for Peace Trainer Course. He is from Cebu, Philippines and has spent three years as a professional experiential educator and facilitator for Youth Development Programs in Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.- Kool Adventure Camp.  He has worked for over six years closely with communities in his country and for three years, was elected as youth representative to the town council. He co-founded an alliance that initiates fostering collaboration and promotes servant leadership with different youth organizations (school-based, religious and community-based youth organizations).

It is in this alliance that he first learned of Play for Peace through his mentors Anbern Rodis-Guarrine, Irvin Torralba, Bre Segundo and Sir John Guarrine. Chad is deeply concerned with creating peace and social justice in his home country and feels that Play for Peace has been instrumental in promoting collaboration and peace among our ally youth organizations.
