“Play for Peace is local and universal – it is wonderfully adaptable to different cultures in an engaging and enticing way, it can create a cooperative and motivated community within minutes! It is great on its own or combined with other activities for social development.” Livier brings together a program integrating cooperative play, movement-based activities, and other mind-body disciplines. She believes in the healing power of arts and expression through play. She is interested in research to find tools that are effective and transformative for the youth she works with. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth by being a catalyst of personal development and about enabling their inner power so that they have the tools to transform conflict into affirmative experiences. Livier is enthusiastic to help youth agents have an impact in their relationships and in their communities, in fact, her first experience with youth as a facilitator started in her high school years when she learned about peace education during her experience with Amnesty International. After 12 years in the graphic arts, Livier decided to return in 2008 to work with youth and adult groups. She was a facilitator for the Mosaic Project outdoor school in the Fall of 2014 in Napa, California. Livier has started the Play for Peace process with groups in Jalisco, México.
