Play for Peace Club in Guatemala

Founded as Play for Peace Club: 2008

Location: Capital de Guatemala

Focus: Inclusion and social transformation, promoting social entrepreneurship and community healing.

This process of formation of Play for Peace was taken to this entity by management of professionals who knew the impact of the methodology. They made it possible for their students to be a Social Work career to be trained so that they will implement this methodology in their places where they do their internship before graduation. This is the National University and approximately 100 students a year go out to do their practice to different institutions and regions of the country. The methodology of Play for Peace has served to generate inclusion, participation and peace within their group work. This contributes to the fact that the communities can be located and work in a better way for the development of the country.

    In all these years of Play for Peace in Guatemala, we have shared with many organizations, communities, and people who know that this works to achieve changes for peace and a more just world. Abel Erim Aldana has been part of this community since 2008 implementing our work model in his community, Abel is a leader in favor of violence prevention at heart, he lives in one of the most difficult areas of the capital Guatemala.
